Relief & Rehabilitation
Fast emergency relief for families hit by floods and hardship, and long-term care for vulnerable people.
Standing With Families When They Need It Most
When floods or crises strike, ASWA volunteers are among the first to respond with food and essential support.
The east of Sri Lanka is regularly affected by monsoon floods, which can destroy homes, crops and livelihoods overnight. Families who were already struggling are hit hardest.
ASWA responds quickly by preparing and distributing food and essential items to affected households. We have distributed more than 10,000 food supplies over the years. Beyond emergencies, we care for vulnerable groups, including children in care homes and elderly people, so that nobody is left behind.
