Reconciliation
Building trust and harmony between Sri Lanka's communities, one programme at a time.
Working for Lasting Peace and Understanding
Our vision is the sustainable development and social reconciliation of all Sri Lankans. Development cannot last without trust between communities.
Long-standing tensions between religions, languages and policies have affected many communities in Sri Lanka. These divisions hold back development and leave lasting mistrust.
ASWA works to rebuild that trust. Through joint programmes, dialogue, cultural activities and community service open to everyone, we create opportunities for people of different backgrounds to work together towards shared goals.
