Art & Culture
Bringing communities together through culture, creativity and shared celebration.
Culture That Connects Communities
Art and culture give people a shared language. When communities celebrate together, understanding and respect grow.
Sri Lanka is home to many cultures, languages and faiths. Years of division have sometimes kept these communities apart, even when they live side by side.
ASWA's mission includes advancing reconciliation through art and cultural activities. We organise events, ceremonies and creative programmes that celebrate local heritage, give young people a platform to express themselves, and invite people from different backgrounds to take part together.
